Rare Antique Victorian Steamer Domed Trunk W Rare Tray & Paintings Inside

Trunks come in all sorts, shapes and sizes. Many of these trunks come out of the Victorian period and others from the Edwardian, and Georgian periods. Antique restorers are always looking for a good antique trunk, to turn back into a treasure.

I recently got the opportunity to get this great trunk here in the above photo. I have been doing research on it, and have found so much interesting information on this trunk, as well as many other types of trunks and chest. As of right now my grandmother and I are looking to sell this trunk she has owned for many decades. Many people say that this and other domed trunks are a treasure in themselves. I considered it very interesting that a chest which contained treasure perhaps in the past, is now just as valuable without any treasure at all.

The art and brass around the outside of our trunk is simply outstanding. When we first opened it, it still had news paper lining it from the early 1930's. Wow that was simply an amazing discovery we had made. My favorite president Franklin D. Roosevelt was still in office back then. My grandmother and I had walked past this old trunk a million times, however we never really stopped to look at it, or examine it. Until one day she decided to throw it into one of her old yard sales for a few bucks. As I walked past this trunk, and saw the price she had on it I thought wow, I should buy this. So then I started talking to her about it, and we decided to just put it on the internet and split the income from it, and it has been on here ever since.

I currently have the antique trunk for sale on Amazon and it is in great condition compared to the ones I have saw on the internet. While the straps are long since gone on this antique dome trunk, the tray is in really great condition still. As well the art within the trunk, on the trays is in tact just beautifully.
